Is eye cream/moisturiser very important for healthy skin?

is eye moisturiser or eye cream is very necessary for glowing and healthy skin. I am 27.

Is eye cream/moisturiser very important for healthy skin?
If you're worried about the future, and want to prevent the onset of eye wrinkles then it can't hurt. But face mosturizer, as well as sunscreen I'd say is key for a glowing complexion. The weather can be very drying no matter if it's summer or winter ;)
Reply:At the latest, you should have started when you were about 24 with the eye cream for preventative measures.
Reply:Absolutely! You should always moisturize your skin, the eye area is important as well. Always use something with SPF, this definitely helps your skin as well.

I moisturize my face twice a day. And don't worry about buying all the insanely expensive stuff, it all has about the same in it. My grandmother used regular cold cream her entire life, and she has great skin even at 82.
Reply:I would definitely start using eye cream ASAP! The skin around your eyes is extremely thin and delicate. Fine lines can start early on (I'm 24 and have noticed lines for a few years now). I'll be honest I do not consistently use eye cream, but when I do it makes the area look a lot better. I recommend Dior Cosmetics Capture R60/80 Eye Cream. It has fabulous results, instantly smoothing and illuminating the eye area. Also, in 1 hour it will reduce wrinkles up to 60% (the 60) and after long-term use it repairs and strengthens the skin. 80% (the 80) of women noticed a younger looking appearance after 1 month of use.

I used to sell Dior for about 4 months and their products are really great. The eye cream is around $52.00 for a .5oz supply. I know this seems a lot for such a small amount but you only need to apply about a pea size amount for your eyelid AND undereye area, so it lasts a long time.
Reply:yes it is! I'm 22 and every night I always apply good night cream and I use vitamin E oil under my eyes. I don't want to have too many wrinkles or crows feet, plus I want to look like a M.I.L.F!

Is gentamicin sulfate cream ok to use on your skin. I had foot surgery and my skin is horrible.?

I had foot surgery and the pins were taken out today. My skin is horrible looking. My mom gave me a tube of gentamicin sulfate cream usp,0.1% to use. My doctor told me to use vitamin e.

Is gentamicin sulfate cream ok to use on your skin. I had foot surgery and my skin is horrible.?
If it's not infected you don't need an antibiotic. The use of vitamin E will smooth the skin and reduce the scarring. It will look much better the first time you use it. I hope this helps.
Reply:Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It won't help unless your skin is infected. What do you mean "horrible looking"? Just nasty because it wasn't washed in a while (inside bandages)? Scars and scabs?

I have LOTS of little red dry patches on my skin... I'm using the "fungus cream" but its still spreading!

It started with a fairly large dry red patch on my lower back, then on my arm, then on the skin opposite the arm (Which suggests it spread onto it from the contact) then I got about 10 more all over me - luckily only one on my face which doesn't show.

Anyway I went to the doctors, she said it was a fungal infection and was given some cream (Dactoten or something) and some "dandruff shampoo" which I have to put over my body twice a week. I'm supposed to use the cream 2 - 3 times daily but I have about 20 patches on me (Only a few are noticeable, the others are very small but get bigger every day) and it takes FOREVER to put it on. It doesn't seem to be helping anyway and everyday I find a new one...

They itch so much but only when I touch them and I really just want to get rid of them and stop getting more, I feel stupid going back to the doctors just about this and it seems I'll never get rid of this quickly spreading fungal infection. HELP!

I have LOTS of little red dry patches on my skin... I'm using the "fungus cream" but its still spreading!
Very possible it's NOT fungus....perhaps stop using cream and go back to DR ..dont feel stupid...ask to be sent to a dermatologist pronto to get proper diagnosis and medication.
Reply:go to your family doctor
Reply:go doctors
Reply:Ask your doctor for Clotrimazole, it is great.

I had fungal infections under my armpits [or irritation from anti-persperent, to this date I haven't figured out which] and it works well.
Reply:maybe it's psoriasis
Reply:triamcinolone cream...it's an RX but it cures that stuff...I had it on my chest once from a tanning bed...cleared it right up
Reply:excmend ointment is supposed to help
Reply:That sounds like shingles, why not suggest that to your doctor...I had it but it took a few doctors to diagnose it, mainly because I was only 12 at the time. Hope you are better soon xx
Reply:It may not be a fungus, or the fungus medication they've given you isn't strong enough.

It sounds like you either have eczema or something else other than a fungus. You may have an allergy, an internal infection that is showing itself through your skin or a condition that may be triggered by your immune system (like some kinds of psoriasis).

Talk to the doctor and ask her to look at the areas again. If it is truly fungal, then you'll need a much stronger treatment, because fungi usually respond quickly to treatment. I seriously doubt that is what you're working with, though.

If your doctor doesn't know what's up or can't help, ask for a referral to a dermatologist. They go to university for at least 5 years (up here, anyway) beyond medical school so they can learn how to properly identify all the different skin conditions.
Reply:Try exzema cream then ? it could be that, or scabies ointment ? I know it sounds gross, but it's best to get every possibility looked into.
Reply:Please Try Neem oil, it is a ancient Indian (from India) cure for MANY skin ailments. It is available at most healthfood stores, or on the internet. Also make sure to eat more green leafy vegatables for the vitamin A and folic acid. This is recomended by my mother who owns a healthfood store. It can only help, I have seen it help many skin conditions very rapidly.

Good luck!!!
Reply:Could be it isn't fungal and an inflammatory response to something your eating, new soap, detergent, meds, food ? Maybe ask your doc about a hydrocortisone cream? Need to see a dermatologist.
Reply:try lamsil its really good for fungal infections you can get it in a tube or spray
Reply:I would stop using the dandruff shampoo, it doesn't help at all. I ahd the same problem on my cheeks. It helped a little, but didn't really work. It may be fungal, I don't know! People use corteson, but that just makes your skin white and flaky. My aunt actually recommended a home rememdy! No side effects what so ever and the itching is gone the next day:

Buy some coconut oil, and rub it on the area. Should be gone in a few weeks.
Reply:to me, this sounds like RINGWORMS. they're not worms it's a skin fungus. you can get it from cats. so if you have a cat take it to the vet and see if that is the source. also don't scratch!!! the germs get under your nails and that's how it spreads. wear long sleaves and pants. and keep your hands washed all the time. the rash should get better soon. but if it doesn't, go back to the doctor. or get a second opinion. doctors can be wrong too.just be patient. and you shouldn't feel stupid going back to the doctor. that is why they are there. to help you!!
Reply:Hi! I would go to a pharmacy and get a recommendation for an anti-topical ointment.

Yeast infection ointment may also help. **My son has dry itchy skin and we use NYSTATIN. It is a topical cream, antifungal. but it will help with the healing. It is non-greasy and inexpensive.

You could also try having an oatmeal bath. Aveeno brand has a bath remedy that is called Oatmeal bath. This may relieve the itch. It takes the itch out of chicken pocs.

If it is still spreading, after using the cream she gave you, go back to your doctor. . . it could be something she over looked.

:o)
Reply:It does sound like psoriosis,it can appear overnight and spread all over, its a horrible thing to have,i have to use dovebet cream twice a day,its a pain in the ****
Reply:I Think I can help you with this one. You should start using natural products straight away. Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant, Tooth Gel, all made from Aloe Vera. There is a very good cream called Propolis Cream. It is not available in shops. Check out all the products on www.aloedistributor.com No matter what country you live in there will be a HQ for Forever Living some where not too far from you. If you e-mail me at frankwoodsflp@eircom.net I will help you further. Cheers and good luck. Frank. Happy new yr.

Please help! What is the best moisturing cream for very dry skin?

My skin is so dry throughout the day it feels like parchament stretched over my cheek bones. It's not sensitive or flaky though. There are so many face creams out there, which one do I choose that will mositurise my face through the day without having to touch it up too much. I don't mind using an intensive one such as Nivea but I have to keep topping it up every 2 hours! Please help!

Please help! What is the best moisturing cream for very dry skin?
Mary Kay Extra Hydration Moisterizer is great! and its oilfree.

I use the one in the purple jar because my skin is normal. But since your skin is so dry try the pink one.
Reply:Alveeno has one for extremely dry skin and it stays on my face all day and keeps my face from drying out
Reply:olay moisturizer... and put it on right after you get out of the shower. (it locks the moisture in)
Reply:olay for your face...vaseline intensive care lotion is the best all over. i even use it on my face once in awhile when it gets very dry. i wouldn't use it every day on my face, though. too greasy.
Reply:i was gonna recommend nivea, cos the one i'm using realy works for me.

but seeing as how even nivea doesnt seem to help you the way you want it, it might be the facial wash that you are using.

it might be too drying for your face.
Reply:Try spreading a thin layer of Vaseline on your face each night before you go to bed. Let it soak in before you jump in bed. Or, if you don't want to do that, mix a little bit of it in your everyday moisturizer. And drink lots of water.
Reply:i would recommend cetaphil moisterizing lotion (the green bottle)... its unscented...apply it once or twice before you go....you don't even have to worry about topping it up every 2 hours.... it works really good...

But, it depends i guess on what you put on your face before you put moisterizing lotions/cream....

I used dove products because there so gentle on your skin and it won't dry up your skin after washing your face... and you can try dove moisterizing lotions too...it works wonders too....
Reply:I have dry skin as well, and i use clean and clear oxgenating moisturizing face lotion. It's really light and i don't feel the need to keep applying it over and over. I apply it once and I'm done. And remember during the winter your face gets pretty dry so that's why you felt the need to keep applying. But try the clean and clear line and see how that works, or neutrogena is a good brand too and it's hypoallergenic too. Drinking water also helps hydrate and clean those pores out. And exfoliate your face once a week and moisturize your face really good after that.

Good luck.
Reply:The most amazing stuff I have fount is Youthful essense, you have to order it online or off the tv. but it is great.
Reply:i know this sounds awful, but preparation h works wonders, and if the container bothers ya put it in something else, this really works and is great for wrinkles too.
Reply:i use intelligence rejuventating cream this stuff is awesome!!!! its not greasy and woeks great. this stuff gives you balance and is only $35 and lasts a long time!!!i shop here you'll love it

Reply:Try Intense Moisture Cream from L'Bri Pure n' Natural Skin Care. Check the ingredients on the skin care products you're using to see if there is drying alcohol and/or harsh chemicals in it. These ingredients will severely dry out your skin. L'Bri uses Aloe as their first ingredient and adds loads of vitamins, minerals, herbs and botanicals. These products have the unique ability to penetrate into your skin and heal from the inside, out. I would recommend the Gentle Skin Care Trio with Intense Moisture Cream. It's $48 and when used twice each day will last about 4 months. It also comes with a money back guarantee. They have a great body wash, mash and body lotion also. Check it out at suenelson.lbri.com.

Does anyone know of a good body cream for very dry skin?

Here in Orlando my skin gets very dry, I have used all kinds of creams and moisturizers and I still haven't found one that works.

Does anyone know of a good body cream for very dry skin?
the Aveeno is often nearly prescribed for people with exzema

so i would suggest that or a neutrogena

Reply:Yes Olay body quench !!!
Reply:you can use baby lotion to shower i and pat dry skin

thats what i do
Reply:Lac Hydrin. Last I knew it was by prescription or available via online Canadian pharmacies. The best, also great for dry and cracked feet.
Reply:Eucerin dry skin calming cream is terrific. In the cold winters of the pacific northwest we get lots of snow and freezing rain, this stuff saves me. My dermatolgist recommended it to me and it rocks, dries to a powdery finish but is so thick and rich you won't believe it. Even my kids ask for this lotion!
Reply:I find that Olay Quench works really well...I have the same problem in the winter.
Reply:Neutrogena sugar body scrub, fresh citrus. Smells yummy!!! It exfoliates and leaves your skin satin smooth from the botanical oils. You could also follow up with a moisturizer if you wish.
Reply:Shea butter its the best i promise!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:read tips on skincare and more to help you on this site
Reply:Aquaphor (ask pharmacist) or shea butter(?)
Reply:Cetaphil mosturizing cream. It was recommended to me by my dermantologist when I was on acutane. The acutane really dried out my skin and Cetaphil worked great, I still use it today.
Reply:You're probably not noticing any results because most lotions on the market contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin. These products sit on the top layer like saran wrap and just get wiped off over time giving little to no benefit. Have you been finding yourself having to reapply your lotions all day long? This is why. You need a water based hydrating body lotion that will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition your skin. Arbonne has an awesome botanically based hydrating body lotion, hand cream, and foot cream that do just that. I use them and LOVE them! I no longer experience dry skin or the need to reapply during the day. If you're open to trying a free sample, I'll be happy to send you one. Good luck!

Best sun cream for a child with sensitive skin/eczema?

hi there, can anyone recommend a sun cream for an 18month old with eczema? The variety in boots is just so vast, many claim they are dermatalogical or hypoallergenic, or mild especially for babies, but last year we used one recommended for babies and she came out in a terrible rash (so quickly and so fast I thought it was meningitis and took her to A%26amp;E, they said she had a reaction to sun cream or possibly had a viral skin rash, so if any parents can personally recommend a brand (avaliable in uk) that they have had personal sucess using with their child with sensitive skin/eczema, I would appreciate your comments, and I will buy the brand that has the most possitive feedback! thanks.

Best sun cream for a child with sensitive skin/eczema?
You could try Dr Hauschka sunscreen cream for children (SPF22). From the health food shop. Its very expensive but doesn't contain many of the harsh chemicals in some other brands. Its a mineral sunscreen so has no chemical sun filters
Reply:the E45 is widely used.
Reply:e45 is very good as my brother uses it. but you can get a sun factor 30 from good health shops that are ideal for people that have skin allergy's. my friend has something similar and his doctor recommended very small amounts of time on a special sun bed that they have in some hospitals,or you local tanning centre.it cleared his exma up very quickly so therefor he no longer has to suffer the way he used to. am so sorry your little boy is having to go through such an awful skin condition so young. wish you and your family all the best xx

I'm 19, should i use firming night cream to make my skin look more healthy?

i had acne problems so i used clean n clear and neutrogena acne cleansers...and now i feel my skin has become unevenly toned and dry and a lil saggy...i can see lines near my nose and lips....should i use night firming creams....i dont want to use age defying things...because my skin is sensitive and i dont want my acne to come back.....

I'm 19, should i use firming night cream to make my skin look more healthy?
At your age I would not use a night creams because they have too many emollients and are too heavy for your skin. You are correct you might end up breaking out more. The lines around the nose are probably due to the use of the acne cleansers. Why don't you try using a Cetyphil or Purpose which are mild cleansers and won't irritate the skin. Purpose also make a moisturizer (Redness Reducing Moisturizer) that has SPF 30 and its non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). My son that has acne uses it and its great. When you use any type of cream or sunscreen make sure that they are PABA-free and non-comedogenic. Always wear sunscreen or a moisturizer with SPF 30 before leaving the house even on a cloudy day. This is the time to take care of your skin avoid the sun and don't over cleanse this throws off the PH of your skin causing sometimes more break outs. Also drinks lots of water, avoid sugar and try to each fish with Omega-3, such a salmon. You will see the change in your skin.
Reply:Try a healthy diet and drinking lots of water every day. Oh, and avoid the sun.

That's the only thing that will lead you healthy skin.

What is one of the true and good skin whiteining facial cream?

I have 10 different nationals working with me all claim theirs is the best. i dont believe in skin whitening products but want to try and se if it works. I am a male person.

What is one of the true and good skin whiteining facial cream?
of course there's the fair and lovely cream out there... but those who use it don't really show any sign of skin lightening... one thing that does lighten skin over time is proactive... or the proactive knock offs you can get at walmart/target... skin steroids lighten skin too... but the problem with the steroids is that they actually make the skin thinner and more vulnerable to any injuries or cuts...

Girls pls help ! i burn my skin while using the hair removal cream?
ouch sounds painful......

But anyways rinse the area with peroxide and then put some hydrocortizone on it and dont use the hair removal for at least another six weeks or until the cut is gone....... hope it gets better!!
Reply:ouch!

I would suggest not using hair removal cream...shaving or waxing is much better for your skin and your body.
Reply:antibiotic ointment
Reply:i have done that before to the back of both my knees i couldnt walk right for like a week i applied lots of burn ointment and it will start to feel better!
Reply:I have done the same. You need to soak in a bathtub in warm water for awhile, soap the area, rinse and then pat dry. Spread on some antibiotic ointment like a Neosporin to make sure you don't get an infection with a cut. Wash area with soapy water, rinse, and reapply a thinner coat for during the day the next day. Keep repeating and in a few days you will be all better. If the burn is really awful, you can use an applicaiton of Destin Diaper Rash ointment. That stuff stinks but it does help it heal quickly.
Reply:apply aloe vera gel, it helps soothing.
Reply:i don't think that there is anything that you can really do except try to avoid cuts, that stuff always burns, switch to shaving or waxing if it gets worse anyway
Reply:www.skincaretipz.blogspot.com for all ur skin problems and acne n clear skin remedies...so many remedies for clear skin in the pink color links for u..try them and get clear problem free skin at home

I have a rash from Avon Skin So Soft cream hair remover... what can I use to make it go away?

My skin must be sensitive, I've used this in the past, and I don't have a rash on other areas I just used it (arms, legs)...but I need something to soothe it and take the rash away before Friday....Aloe Vera? Cucumber slices?

I have a rash from Avon Skin So Soft cream hair remover... what can I use to make it go away?
A lawsuit.
Reply:I have sensitive skin aswell so to make it go away dont add anything to the rash and stop using the cream
Reply:Betnovate-C or Neosporin-H if available across the counter. Apply 2-3 times daily. Good luck!
Reply:Nothing. Your body will deal with it on its own. Stop using the product and was your skin as normal with a mild soap
Reply:use avon skin so soft cream hair remover REMOVER
Reply:Buy old fashion Epsom Salt sold in dollar stores in the USA or food stores probably anywhere. Read the directions and take a luke warm bath. This is also great for relaxing. This is the main ingredient in all bath salts but with the added fillers and perfume you don't need with a rash!

Then also buy Witch Hazel which is also easy to find and just as cheap as Epsom Salt. Buy cotton pads or cotton balls (harder to use) or gauze pads (expensive if for bandages) ... Soak the cotton in a dish or container with the Witch Hazel poured into the container until full. Use the cotton pads or gauze as compresses. This Witch Hazel soaked pads can even be put into the refrigerator to help soothe the burn and or itch of the rash and reduces the swelling from the rash. Witch Hazel is an old time healing product that REALLY works!

A product sold under the name of "Tucks" has 92% or better Witch Hazel in it as the active ingredient! This is why hospitals use it for many different reasons.

If you follow BOTH of these, you will be well on your way of being very happy and rash free without using other chemicals to cause more problems you don't need or want.

Jurlique do an Elder cream that evens out or lightens uneven pigmentation on the skin. Used every day you'll probably see results within 2 weeks. if you can't find it because of locality, try Bio-Oil. but thats probably harder to get.

Good luck :)

Red from Palmer's Skin Success Fade Cream?

I just used Palmer's fade cream last night, and now my face is red! I used a small amount, as directed, but I was still irritated. Has this happened to anybody else, and if so, how long will it be red for? Thanks, I really appreciate your help.

Red from Palmer's Skin Success Fade Cream?
It is a skin bleach, regardless of what they call it. These bleaches can be very bad for your skin. The hydroquinone in it is probably irritating your skin. Also, if it includes vitamin E, you could be having an allergic reaction. You best bet is to see a dermatologist if you have skin spots or scars.

Why does my skin tingle when I use a cream with retinol?

I have a face cream with retinol that tingles a bit when I use it. Is that normal or a good thing? My dermatologist says retinol is good for the skin.

Why does my skin tingle when I use a cream with retinol?
yes it's normal and retinol is good for skin..

the stinging is a sign that dead skin cells are exfoliated and you feel the sting because it's new skin resurfacing which reacts to the topical treatment you apply.. it should go away soon.
Reply:A lot of face creams/products...make your skin tingle.

Think of it this way, that's how you know it's working.

If it burns, that's a whole 'nother story though...

Than you might be allergic or your skin is irritated by it.

What is your favorite moisturizer/wrinkle/fine line cream for oily/acne prone skin?

I'm interested in finding a good moisturizer/wrinkle/fine line cream for day and/or night, with UV protection. I have oily/acne prone skin. I've tried several but have been disappointed. Any suggestions?

What is your favorite moisturizer/wrinkle/fine line cream for oily/acne prone skin?
I have the same problematic skin, oily and prone to acne. Dear, you don't need an anti-wrinkle cream, simply because that type of skin retains more moisture and produces by itself enough oil.I have tried so many renomated creams etc. and I can say much advertisement, nothing seen as result.I am using Effaclair of La Roche Posay facial wash, cream Effaclair with Zink, and other vitamins, which deeply moisturizes and also matifies the skin.I strongly recommend them..I saw the results within a week,,Try and share with me if worked out! Good luck!

Hey I'm medium brown Cuban-I have a bad case of skin discoloration/dark spots froms mosquitoe bites, and dark scars left . The back of my thighs, knees, neck, and back are way darker than the rest of my body, and would like to lighten those areas so they match the rest of my body skin/color. Mature answers and product experiences most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone use topiclear skin lightening lotion/cream/soap or ambi %26amp;did any work %26amp; what skin tone/color are u?
i've had different types of dark skin pigmentations and learned that success in skin lightening does not rely on skin lighteners alone..

so here's what you can do -

1. use good quality (and safe) skin lightening products

2. wear a high spf sunscreen

3. use with your favorite moisturizers

4. take vitamin C

What's the best men shaving cream for an extra sensitive skin?

I'm still looking for a good shaving cream that can be used daily on my face. My hair is very tough and my skin extremely sensitive causing me a lot of cuts and irritation after each shave.

Please help me!!!

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys

What's the best men shaving cream for an extra sensitive skin?
I'm the same way as you- I use Edge gel sensitive skin formula and a Mach 3 razor. Have you tried the triple blade? You don't have to push at all so I get less nicks and cuts or irritation after shaving. Also- the best time to shave is right after you shower- got that from one of the chemists that developed Edge (I'm an employee at S.C. Johnson who makes Edge) He said not to dry your face- just lather up and shave. Warmer skin opens the pores and leaves the hair easier to cut.

Have a great day!!!
Reply:My husband uses Cliniques shave cream. He had the same problems as you and he doesn't anymore.
Reply:I've known guys (three actually) who use women's shaving cream for this exact problem. Try one with moisturizer in it--there are plenty of varieties. Gel works the best for thick hair and to best protect against knicks and cuts.
Reply:I use Colgate for sensitive skin but what i think helps most is having my skin hot/warm and slightly wet before shaving. Also those new 3 or 4 blade razors really help. They're a little more expensive but worth the money and they also last a lot longer.
Reply:Aveeno therapeutic shaving gel....I use it on my bikini area ;o)
Reply:Noxzema medicated shave.

old standby thick lather. It works well

I have extreemley pale skin, like nearly white and somtimes i get purple, red and blue lines all over my body. I can actually see almost straight through my skin. its very thin. i am extreeemly sensitive to the sun so ive also got sun damage.

Ive got all this and im only 13 years old.

Weird skin problem........ What cream could i use or do to get rid of it?
ew sounds like u have a problem
Reply:I would suggest a mosituriser with UV block. It will help with the sun and keep your skin healthy. If you feel its a major concern talk to your doctor. A lot of people are very sensitive to the sun and have alergies associated with it. You don't seem out of the ordinary to me, but again just check with your doctor to be sure.

PIMPLES

Pimples is a unique skin disorder.Pimples are lesions that occur when the skin’s pores are obstructed or infected. They can form for a variety of reasons. However, the mechanism involved in causing some pores to collapse and block drainage of natural oils is not really understood. Pimples may also crop up for genetic reasons. It is not clear how it can be inherited from one’s parents, but studies do indicate a high occurrence of pimples in children whose parents had it,too.

The pimples associated with adolescence almost certainly occur because of hormonal changes that take place during puberty. Both males and females get an overdose of the male hormone testosterone during this period, causing excessive generation of sebaceous fluids that invariably cause pimples.

GIVEN BELOW ARE A FEW SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES TO FIGHT PIMPLES.

1.The most basic form of pimple prevention is hygiene and preventive skin care. Regular washing of the affected areas with mild soap is a must. The soap need not necessarily contain any chemicals designed to prevent pimples .However, face washing should not be overdone or the skin will become dehydrated .

2.Care should be taken on makeup, moisturizers and other skin care products. If these products are oil based,it would just make the problem worse. Use water based products instead.

3.Generally we rub, press or squeeze our pimples.Don’t when we do this,we risk spreading the bacteria to other areas.

4.Lemon juice diluted in water can be applied externally because of its antiseptic

quality.

5.Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

6.Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

7.Before bathing, apply a mixture of fresh tomato pulp, honey and rose-water to your face and keep for twenty minutes before washing off.

8.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples.Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result.

9.Directly rub potato slices all over the face, helps to get rid of blemishes and

pimple scar.

10.Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices.

11.Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars.

12.Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, salads, fresh juices, fish and

yogurt. These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.

13.Another overnight home remedy for pimples is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. Calamine lotion also will have the same drying effect.

14.Pound orange peel with water and apply to affected areas.

15.Another useful remedy for pimples is zinc. Which can be taken in a dose of 50 mg daily for a month and then reduce the dose.

16.You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as an overnight home pimple remedy.

17.Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash.

Finally, certain medications may temporarily alter the hormonal changes prevalent during adolescence and cause pimple outbreaks. If this is the case, a simple adjustment in medication may be all that is required.
Reply:1. you need to check with your dematologist because you may be allergic to something in it or just have really sensative skin

2. try something like aveeno or vaseline intensive care lotion

3. if it's an allergic reaction, you might need to get a steroid or something from the doc.

4. a cool compress might also help sooth it

calling the doc would be your best bet, especially if it's getting worse.

I think you had better give it a good wash in aqueous cream, rinse it well, put aqueous cream on it as a moisturiser, then get to the doctor quick. You could be having an allergic reaction to the cream. Get some good advise, or you could end up with permanent damage. Don't use anything with perfumes, or additives, or you could make it worse.
Reply:don't use it AGAIN !!

your body must be resisting the chemicals
Reply:I would stop using the cream i think you have had a reaction to it. Why dont you go to the doctors and seek some advice there. Another option is to pop in to a chemist where they may be able to advice you. I think you are probably best not to put anything on it until it has calmed down or it could become worst. Good luck.
Reply:stop using it! im not sure how long it will take to go away id put anticeptic cream on it and keep it moisturised.

if you are wanting something to help with acne, i have found only one thing helps keep my skin soft, smooth and spotfree. Clear complexion tablets, they are in a orange box, sold at holland and barrots i think superdrug had them before aswell. they work wonders. try them! its all natural no chemicals that will burn, one key ingredient is Burdock root, a plants root that helps with many skin problems.

Good luck!
Reply:i wonder if your ance cream has gycolic acid if so you could have really burnt your skin stop using it and buy some almond oil to help it heal it should scab up and then peel off good luck
Reply:same thing happened to me the skin will heal take zinc it heals quicker the skin will heal after a few days be patient

Reply:Some of the prescription creams and lotions like Zineryt do cause this, but without knowing what cream you have used, its a little difficult to advise you. Check the information leaflet if there is one, it should tell you about any problems like this.

I would avoid putting anything else on it until you speak to a professional. Slapping on lots of different things is not helping. Just clean your face off with water and wait until you can see someone about it. Even nappy rash cream can cause more problems if used on the wrong sort of thing, so stick to water for now. Dont use vasline, its a barrier, not a moisturiser.

Take the cream with you to a pharmacy and ask the pharmacists advise.

Can vitamin e cream cause rashes on the skin?

After using the cream for about 2 to 3 days, my skin started to become itchy and red.

Can vitamin e cream cause rashes on the skin?
Is your skin very clean when you apply the cream? When you apply something that is very thick or greasy like vitamin e, it can trap the dirt on your skin and block the pores. Make sure your skin is spotlessly clean first before you put the cream on.

If that doesn't help then you are probably allergic to something in the cream. Vitamin e by itself should not cause a rash. Check the label carefully to see what else is in it that could be irritating your skin.
Reply:Sounds like a reaction to me. Maybe the strength is too much for you. Lay off for a while and try it again. It may be something else entirely.

Is there a cream that will lighten my skin?

People with a fair complexion use a tanning cream to tan themselves, right? Well, I want lighter skin. Does anyone know any products that will help lighten my legs, arms, and face?

Is there a cream that will lighten my skin?
Jergen's has a lotion that will gradually lighten you in 2 weeks. Dont worry, it wouldn't be sudden.
Reply:Yeah, hot topic sell this white face makeup stuff.. it makes your face much lighter.. but i'm not sure if you could use it on the rest of your body.

MAC sell a face and body foundation, you could get a light shade of that and use it on your face and body.

Good Luck =]
Reply:Lemon juice is a natural way to do it. Just don't use a lot, since it really works very well.
Reply:yeah lemon juice works great.
Reply:Hydroquinone lightens skin. You can find skin cremes with this ingrediant at your local drug store, one is called "Porcelana"- it costs about $8. Clinique also makes a complete line that helps to lighten skin (also includes Hydroquinone). Make sure that you use sunblock every time you go out to ensure that you keep your skin light. Also make sure that you allow the sunblock about 20 minutes to dry so that it is most effective.

Good hair removal cream wax for extremely sensitive skin?

Hi I am looking for a good hair removal cream/wax combo for extremely sensitive skin. I want to let you know upfront that I need something that is easy maintenance.. The other thing is that I often get a burning sensation.. I am also concerned that I might be pregnant so I dont want anything harsh..but I have way too much dark black hair that is evident.. I used to get laser treatment done but my growth is crazy!

Good hair removal cream wax for extremely sensitive skin?
Not sure if it's safe during pregnancy, but a friend of mine swears by surgi-care facial hair remover cream in the sensitive skin formula. It works but the trick is to keep some moisture on your skin before you apply these creams to prevent the burning sensation and the irritation. Put on some moisturizer and let it absorb into your skin. Then gently rinse your face and pat dry before you put on the hair remover cream. Also, be sure to 1.) don't rub the cream into your skin as the instructions tell you not to, and 2.) don't let the cream dry out on your skin. Pat the cream on your face with lukewarm water to wet it if this happens. Remember, if the product dries out on your skin, it will penetrate deep into your skin and irritate or even burn your skin.
Reply:Try Sally Hansen. She has a line of hair removal products. I have very sensitive skin also, and I have not had any problems. You can find this product at any CVS or grocery store. Mainly at CVS.
Reply:Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

My toddlers skin keeps reacting to suncream, anyone know a good sun-cream to use?

I have been using 'Kids Soltan, 50 factor' and have also tried 'Nivea children, 50 factor'.

It took me a while to figure out why his cheeks kept coming up in red blotches, at first I thought it was eczma, but it is the sun cream.

Does anyone know a good sun cream that is for sensitive skin, or any tips are welcome, thanks.

My toddlers skin keeps reacting to suncream, anyone know a good sun-cream to use?
You can buy "no ad" the green one or the pink baby one. My sister has really bad eczema and this is the only one she can use. You can get it in woolies and it's cheap. Good Luck.
Reply:He/she is probably allergic to an ingredient in the sun cream. A doctor can do test to find out want it is..
Reply:Anything hypoallergenic is good. I use water babies hypo because my daughter is like that. Some kids just are super sensitive though, so if it doesn't help my doing that I would ask your doctor what you can use.
Reply:you could be using too much wich is causing the skin to not be able to breathe.

i use my face lotion spf stuff on my grandchildren's faces. it's worth the money to have them protected.
Reply:Aveno has a sunscreen. I haven't used it before but it by Aveno so its probably really good for baby skin.
Reply:I have always used Banana Boat Sunblock for babies, it hasn't bothered my daughter. Somebody else mentioned Aveeno, try that, it is good stuff too.
Reply:Try a lower SPF like 15.
Reply:My daughter has the same problem, and we use Neutrogena Sensitive Skin and that works well for her. But I still need to be religious about washing it off her as soon as we're inside.

Good luck!
Reply:My daughter has that same problem. Her doctor said to try the sun screen life guards use it has a frog on it or somethin. If that don't work then just don't put it where he is sensitive like his face.

Try the Shiseido line. It's from Japan. Many people swear by it. Look for the ones that say Whitening or Brightening.

Will hydrated petrolatum cream help my dry sensitive skin?

I have a sensitive skin, and recently it has become so very dry to the point that it hurts. Although, I found a bottle of hydrated petrolatum cream, in which someone said it would help with moisturizing my skin. Should I use this?

Will hydrated petrolatum cream help my dry sensitive skin?
It will not help in moisturizing it, but it would give your skin protection against the dry weather as long as your skin is covered with it.
Reply:Yes, it would be a good choice for you.
Reply:Give it a try you can also try ,Aloe vera juice should be applied to the skin externally or taken in capsule form. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for dry skin at link provided.
Reply:Vaseline is highly recommended, but I like using pure mineral oil (which is an ingredient in a lot of moisturizers). It is pure with no additives or perfumes so it should not hurt your sensitive skin. Also, be careful what soap you shower with. Cetaphil or Dove for sensitive skin is very good. Cetaphil also has a very good moisturizer, but it can be pricey. I have always had great relief with the mineral oil.

Ponds Cold Cream for combination, acne-prone skin?

I was told by an esthetician friend that I should try Ponds Cold Cream to help even out my "extreme" combination skin (very dry cheeks and very oily, shiny and acne-prone t-zone).

I've been using the new MediBac line for adult acne by Dermalogica, it's been alright for the acne but it makes my cheeks so dry that it flakes! It's also $40 for the kit, so if a $4 product MIGHT help, I'll gladly try it.

But before I do, if anyone here has had any experience with it, please share! I wouldn't want to try it only to get a face full of zits :).

Thanks!

Ponds Cold Cream for combination, acne-prone skin?
The ponds cream is OKAY. But if your happy with what you are using then stay with it. whats good for my skin might not be good for your skin.good luck =]
Reply:I've noticed that name brand cremes make skin worse. A lot of dermatologists will tell you not to use other products when using a prescribed product on your face already. I would consult a doctor first because Ponds, Olay, Lancome, and several other name brand products have a lot of oils that can irritate skin with your medication and also make skin even more oily... Good luck
Reply:Tell that esthetician that this esthetican said not yet if you have acne prone skin.

Since I can't see your skin, I can't tell what stage your condition is in or if the dryness is actually dryness or actually RH beinging broken up.

First, try skiping one application of any BPO on the cheek area. So if you apply it twice a day, apply it once a day.

I also need to know how long you have been using it.

The original formulation of the Ponds shouldn't be bad as it is a basic emulsion. Watch out for the fragrance. If you itch after applying it stop.

Dermalogica is not a bad line. It's also not the strongest.

To acne-prone skins dry skin is not a bad thing.

Neutrogena has a new product out, I believe its called visibly even, they have a whole line of it. Exfoliater and creams. I've heard rave reviews about it from friends of mine, I also just started using it and it seems to be evening the tone of my skin.

A cream which can even out skin tone and blemishes?
i think that you should use either proactiv (they sell it in the mall now!) of mary kay velocity
Reply:Hello,

You may try these 3 simple tricks to giving more radiant skin. In return, they will help with reducing blemishes and inducing radiant skin--which will make your skin tone seem more even.

1. Increase your intake of blueberries for breakfast. Eat a lot of them on an empty stomach for breakfast. Then wait at least 2 more hours before consuming other foods for the day.

2. Eliminate or severely reduce any dairy and processed sugar consumption.

3. Use extra-virgin olive oil as a moisturizer at night.

I hope these help!
Reply:Alpha Hydrox's Fade Cream on Drugstore.com is awesome. If you wash, use a toner/astringent, then this stuff and a moisturizer with SPF EVERY night, but not the morning, you'll have clear skin within a week or two. You'll have to use a sunscreen or moisturizer with an SPF if you use Fade Cream or your face wil go red outside. Good luck.
Reply:Aveeno or Ambi works and you can buy it at your local drug store.
Reply:for the blemishes, use a good cleanser like Velocity by Mary Kay. To even out skin tone, you can use something like Even Complexion Essence, also by Mary Kay. For immediate evening of skin tone a correctly matched foundation should do the trick.
Reply:Using SPF of minimum 30 for your face. Microdermabrasion helps.

What is nano technology? How can this be programmed into a certain product like skin care cream?

Nanotechnology is a field of applied science focused on the design, synthesis, characterization and application of materials and devices on the nanoscale. Nanotechnology is a sub classification of technology in colloidal science, biology, physics, chemistry and other scientific fields and involves the study of phenomena and manipulation of material at the nanoscale, in essence an extension of existing sciences into the nanoscale. Two main approaches are used in nanotechnology: one is a "bottom-up" approach where materials and devices are built up atom by atom, the other a "top-down" approach where they are synthesized or constructed by removing existing material from larger entities. A unique aspect of nanotechnology is the vastly increased ratio of surface area to volume present in many nanoscale materials, which opens new possibilities in surface-based science, such as catalysis. This catalytic activity also opens potential risks in their interaction with biomaterials.

The impetus for nanotechnology has stemmed from a renewed interest in colloidal science, coupled with a new generation of analytical tools such as the atomic force microscope (AFM) and the scanning tunneling microscope (STM). Combined with refined processes such as electron beam lithography, these instruments allow the deliberate manipulation of nanostructures. These new materials and structures have in turn led to the observation of novel phenomena such as the “quantum size effect” where the electronic properties of solids are altered with great reductions in particle size. This effect does not come into play by going from macro to micro dimensions. However, it becomes dominant when the nanometer size range is reached.

Materials reduced to the nanoscale can suddenly show very different properties compared to what they exhibit on a macroscale, enabling unique applications. For instance, opaque substances become transparent (copper); inert materials become catalysts (platinum); stable materials turn combustible (aluminum); solids turn into liquids at room temperature (gold); insulators become conductors (silicon). Much of the fascination with nanotechnology stems from these unique quantum and surface phenomena that matter exhibits at the nanoscale. Despite the great promise of numerous nanotechnologies such as quantum dots and nanotubes, real applications that that have moved out of the lab and into the marketplace have mainly utilized the advantages of colloidal nanoparticles, such as suntan lotion, cosmetics, protective coatings and stain resistant textiles.

______________________________________...

Skin Care Cream :There are four entry routes for nanoparticles into the body: they can be inhaled, swallowed, absorbed through skin or be deliberately injected during medical procedures (or released from implants). Once within the body they are highly mobile and in some instances can even cross the blood-brain barrier.

How these nanoparticles behave inside the organism is one of the big issues that needs to be resolved. Basically, the behavior of nanoparticles is a function of their size, shape and surface reactivity with the surrounding tissue. They could cause “overload” on phagocytes, cells that ingest and destroy foreign matter, thereby triggering stress reactions that lead to inflammation and weaken the body’s defense against other pathogens. Apart from what happens if non- or slowly degradable nanoparticles accumulate in organs, another concern is their potential interaction with biological processes inside the body: because of their large surface, nanoparticles on exposure to tissue and fluids will immediately absorb onto their surface some of the macromolecules they encounter. Can this, for instance, affect the regulatory mechanisms of enzymes and other proteins?

What is nano technology? How can this be programmed into a certain product like skin care cream?
nano technology are microscopic robots/devices that are so small they work at cellular level.

You could theortically make/put them into a skin care cream and have them programmed to go repair damage to skin cells..this would correct acne, age lines, etc.
Reply:Nanotechnology is the science of the very small. I am sure that the cosmetics industry will find a use for it some day.

Try visiting some web sites that describe nanotechnology and then thinking of ways that this could be used in skin care.
Reply:well nano technology is developing gadgets and things so small that even an ant can hold a mobile phone u know things so minute that they are not even visible .well i don't know much about its usage just hear this in a physics class.i suggest u check this on wikipedia the site is en.wikipedia.org

What eye cream is best for young skin?

What brand eye cream works best for young skin. There are just too many eye creams to choose from. I was watching Tyra's talk show today and she mentioned that vaseline is what she uses everynight. I'm not sure if this is reaaly a good idea. Could anyone reccomend an eye cream that maintains a youthful eye? I am under 25!

What eye cream is best for young skin?
I can definately reccomend something that is the best of the best. It's called Artistry Eye Replenishing cream. It diminishes puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. I have yet to see something that beats this. you actually begin to see results in 24 hours and trust me you will notice a difference. This stuff is awesome. A tube is about $27 which is not bad because Artistry is a prestige brand and is competitvly priced with lancome, clinique and estee lauder. Plus they offer a 100% money back guarentee if you aren't satisfied so you have absolutely nothing to lose. You can't get it in stores but if you go to http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com it is available there. If you are looking for the best this is it :)
Reply:Artistry's eye cream is the one....

no doubt in using the prdt through its organic ingredients the results were magnificent each week... I'm so confident in the product that I don't hesitate to recommend it to my friends.... It's $28 now. Report It

Reply:oil of ole Regenrerest
Reply:Nivea has great eye creams and anti aging products. Nivea has been around for a long time and is non-irritating. A classic.

It can be found at any drugstore, like CVS.
Reply:Face lotion with a SPF of 30 or better daily and a hat when outdoors for a length of time.

The sun is not to be worshipped, so avoid and stay looking youthful....forever young.
Reply:Clinique Advanced Stop Signs for eyes is my favorite preventative eye cream. It even has sun protection and antioxidants!
Reply:Many drugstore products work well, and if you have a dermatologist, they can prescribe you a low dose of Retin-A cream. I want to caution you on using these products, because they do have a tendency to dry out skin when used in the first four to eight weeks. It's recommended to use in concert with a moisturizer to help compensate, but be ready for redness and dry/irritated skin in the first few applications. It's a good idea to start off using it once every few days, and not necessarily everyday, because your skin could go crazy on you and that would be awful.

Oil of Olay offers a great line of anti-aging creams and products, and most of the ladies I know who want to combat aging, use this. Lancome and Estee Lauder also make good anti-aging lines, but they're on the more expensive side (not that drugstore brands aren't already on the high end of the scale!).

Eye cream is not the only thing you should be looking into... rubbing your eyes and pulling on the skin around them contributes to stretching out the skin and thereby lessening its elasticity, which causes wrinkles or worsens their severity. So if you apply makeup, remember to use your middle or fourth finger, never your pointer, because it will apply too much pressure to the sensitive skin around and on your eye. Just like using makeup brushes is better for your skin than fingertips and sponges, which tend to stretch and pull/tug at the skin. Always apply creams and lotions in circles or downwards, not upwards, because it forces the skin to go in unnatural directions. Also, using sunscreen will help reduce the effect of wrinkles on the face and the rest of your body.

And remember, smile wrinkles are the good kind of wrinkles! :)
Reply:don't use vaseline if you have a little extra money get artistry. they have all sorts of stuff for youthful apperance. i know so many girls that use this stuff and it rocks their world because of how good it is.
Reply:I am 26 and I use all kind of cream, but I begin to have wrinkles under my eyes, small and thin, but still... At 26, I have a nice looking skin, but I don't want any wrinkles on that pretty face ;)

Is nivea cream THAT BAD for oily skin?
NIVEA introduced a cream for oily skin, which I am sure you feel find helpful if you like Nivea brand.

NIVEA VISAGE Mattifying Moisturising Day Care effectively rebalances the skin by mattifying greasy areas and moisturising dry areas, keeping the skin fresh and shine free all day long. Its light gel-cream texture is easily absorbed.

Mixed and oily skin needs special care that regulates the oil production of the oilier zones keeping the skin shine free all day long, and simultaneously provides light moisture to the dryer areas.

I never liked Nivea, it seems a little heavy and leaves an oily film. I like L'Oreal lotions or the lotions by that Swedish company Lumene that you can buy in CVS drugstores.

Joesoef Skin Care Anti-Aging AHA Glycolic Face Cream 8%?

I call this my MIRACLE cream - it has changed my skin - even helps with my mild acne, evens my skin tone, and has made my skin so soft and supple. has anyone else use this product or other Joesoef products? I am loving this product, and I love getting compliments about how pretty my skin is looking. Plus, at my age, I need an anti-aging product. My daughter uses this too, and it helps with her acne. Plus, we both have sensitive skin, and unlike other AHA or Glycolic products, the Joesoef doesn't irritate my skin! Very inexpensive. Please share your results. Would love to hear from other users.

Joesoef Skin Care Anti-Aging AHA Glycolic Face Cream 8%?
OMG. I just started using this too. I read all about it on the allure.com forums. You can get some great advice there. I also saw some postings about this product on makeupalley.com. I love those sites. Anyway, yes, I think this glycolic face cream is great, and it really has made a difference in my skin. It almost glows and makes it look healthy, which is a big turn aroudn from how my skin used to be. glad to hear about another user's success!! Keep sharing

What is the best skincare line for combination skin that is acne prone for African American skin & fade cream?

I have tried Proactiv...it just did not work for me...Any and all suggestions would be great..

What is the best skincare line for combination skin that is acne prone for African American skin %26amp; fade cream?
One option you can try is All Clear from BeautiControl. It seems to work well for all skin types. If it does dry your skin too much there are other options within their other skin care lines that you can substitute to suit your skin's needs.

As for fade cream...what is the specific need for it. There may be something in their product line for that as well. But, I would need more information to better answer. You're welcome to email me.

Hope that helps!
Reply:It depends I would see a doctor and then they can prescribe you something that will work. They will either give a prescription or cream.(well they did for me)

How do I get rid of dry, flaky skin after having used acne cream?

I used some acne cream on my face last week, and it got rid of my spots completely, but it's left my skin feeling like sandpaper, I can't wear makeup and it's flaking visibly. I've tried a few mousturisors but they're not helping. Is there any other way, preferably without having to buy anything especially?

How do I get rid of dry, flaky skin after having used acne cream?
I could tell you to use some sort of dermal regenerating lotion, or a moisturizing facial mask, but I'm sure you already know that. But try to think what you can do internally to improve your skin health. Some suggetions;Drink Plenty of water, the body needs to be hydrated and your skin needs water from the inside to have a healthy glow on the outside. Stop drinking soda and cheap fake juice drinks. Take vitamin supplements especially ones designed to promote healthy skin such as "Natrol Omega 3 Complex". Also, I know this will be hard to do in the summer but....STAY OUT OF THE SUN! A little sunlight is a good thing for the skin but don't over do it. Your skin is especially sensitive to sunlight especially after using topical ointments for acne. Hope that helps, good luck.
Reply:which acne cream did u use?? b/c i am having problems with scars!
Reply:If the problem persists, you may need to have a dermatologist prescribe you something stronger than an over the counter moisturizer.
Reply:What kind did you use? Garnier Fructis has some that feel really good on dry skin (I have your problem, too)

You could try a facial scrub or use something a tad rough to slough off dead skin.
Reply:Find a source where you can get 100% shea butter. My husband has some acne (he's 50!) and also gets sebhorrea. A pharmacist told him to use a 'cortizone cream' and our doctor agreed. It 'helped' but he has to keep using it every day, or the 'flaking' starts again. I went into a 'soap' store, and was talking to the clerk about my 'dry skin' for which I use 'lavender' soap with shea butter. I told her about my husband's sebhorrea, and she said STOP using ANYTHING with 'sodium laurel' or 'sodium laureth' in it (read the ingredients ... MOST soaps and shampoos have one of those in them) and suggested I buy him 'shea butter' soap (it's 20% shea butter) and start using 100% shea butter instead of the cortizone cream. I did ... and my husband's sebhorrea is 'nearly gone.' WOW. Shea butter is 'very good' for the skin, so if yours is 'dry and flaky' then I think you should use it. It's EXPENSIVE ($20 for a 2.5 oz can) but you don't need to use very much ... and it's actually a lot LESS EXPENSIVE than any 'cream' or 'moisturizer' you can buy from the 'big cosmetic companies.'
Reply:Lay off the cream and pile on moisturiser.
Reply:well iknow you want to not buy anything but try elemis sos emergency cream it works a treat and it also gets rid of spots for people with drier skin.

if not then use a strong moisturiser i would recomend vasline intensive care apply it twice a day

just give it time and hopefully it will clear up
Reply:well this happens if you use a lot, this happens to a lot of people [including me] to get rid of it you should try washing your face regularly and using an astringent [such as witch hazel] and moisterizor. Your skin just cleaned out your pores and it is making your pores smaller thus leaving your skin flakey. I'm not an expert so try going to: www.acne.com

Good luck!!!!

Reply:The dry skin caused by the chemical burn on your face will lead to a nice new outbreak because the flaking skin will block your pores.

Try this:

In the shower, use a natural soap and soap up your face. Using about a tablespoon of baking soda, gently scrub your face. You're removing the dead skin, not the skin that's still living.

After the shower, a quick oatmeal mask:

2 tablespoons powdered oatmeal (stick PLAIN oatmeal in the blender or food processor to powder it.)

1-2 tablespoons honey - just to make a thick paste.

Put all over your face. You'll feel relief from the itching almost instantly. Leave it on for about fifteen minutes. About the amount of time it takes you to get dressed and tie your shoes.

Rinse with warm water. DON'T rinse with cold. Cold water slams your pores shut so they can't excrete the bacteria and dead skin cells associated with acne.

Kill the bacteria that causes acne, Propionibacterium acnes, with witch hazel.

Finish it all off with a protective layer of vegetable oil such as sunflower (rich in vitamin E), jojoba (humectant that draws moisture to the skin) or simply extra virgin olive oil. Just a dab is enough. All you are doing is a thin protective layer. It should almost immediately absorb into the skin, not look like a buttered turkey.

try dermalogica or clinique, they bot work great...

Reply:It's good to start right now, better later than never. Olay Total Effects is very good, my mom uses it and her skin is glowing. Remember to always use a sunscreen with an spf of 15 or higher.

Go to makeupalley.com, they have product reviews including Olay's. It's a very helpful site.
Reply:Girl, you should've started a loooong time ago!

Oh well, better you than me, right? J/K.. You should begin by using a cleanser containing Benzoyl Peroxide, or exfoliating beads such as Proactiv or Murad. For your nighttime regimen, A few good skin creams that aren't expensive are Shu Uemura's BG Night Cream, or Clarins Hydra Quench. If you HAVE the money, get the entire La Mer line, from serum to eye cream, in two weeks you'll have gorgeous skin!
Reply:Olay works really well. My other advice would be to eat healthy, use sunscreen, and don't smoke.
Reply:Arbonne International has the best products. But, they're very pricy.
Reply:i love oil of olay, but often buy the CVS brand. Anything you use is ok, just pay attention to what your face needs. If you're prone to dry skin, you'll need a hydrating moisturizing cream. But the best antiaging treatment is using sunblock. The sun has a nasty way of prematurely aging many of us.
Reply:Sheshido is amazing or try lancome products
Reply:According to some recent university studies, they've come up with the fact that the anti-aging creams are all worthles and that they don't work. Either get surgery or use alternatives. Microdermabrasion would be the best bet.
Reply:I believe oil of olay works well, however if you have the money, Estee Lauder has an excellent skin care regimen. My personal pick would be clinique, It worked wonders on my mothers skin and she is 53.

Start with their 3-step program. Their advanced stop sign for eyes instantly takes dark circles and wrinkles away. Also instead of the usually mosturizer in their 3-step program, try the Super Defense Mosturizer.
Reply:Estee Lauder has a line that is GREAT I am a sun lover and I use their hydrateing system and their double wear foundiation its great!!!! I am 37 and live in ga so we have hot summers
Reply:The earlier the better. I love the StriVectin SD products. Can be expensive if you don't get a coupon or sale, but well worth it. Product lasts a long time also. I swear by it! I found this coupon for $43, not sure if it expired, but you can check it out
Reply:ONE WORD "MINK" trust me on this go to A touch of Mink's website and u will find all kinds of great and reliable products. But let me warn u it will make a hole in the pocket this stuff is not for poor folkes so if you dont have the money then try oh'lay
Reply:Age doesn't really reflect anything, it is said that girls should start using it when they're in their mid-20s. But it really depends on your skin conditions as most of the anti-ageing skincare is quite rich. I am not sure how your skin conditions is, but as a starter, it's better to start out with some lighter products (so that skin used to it, then you can go to those richer ones), I would recommend Kiehl's Abyssine Cream, it's really really good, it kicks away dullness, firms and removes the little fine lines. You can check out the product information here: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio...

For your information, Kiehl's has a richer line than Abyssine, it's called Crystal Marine. You can ask them to give you both samples before purchasing, just to see which one you like better.
Reply:My sister and I have had skin problems our whole lives, acne, aging, you name it. She started working for a dermitologist this year and he gave her some md forte glycolic acid skin care products and her skin has never looked better. She gave me some too, and I love it. You start with level 1 and work your way up. I'm on level 2 now. Careful though, the products primarily use alpha hydroxy or glycolic acid, which makes you very sun sensitive, so makes sure you also use a non-comedigenic high level sunscreen with it. Non-comedigenic means it won't clog pores.

Also, start on a Retin A program, this helps quite a lot. The idea is to bring the newer skin to the front, and peel away your outer layers.

My skin now is very dewy and the fine lines are gone.

To have young skin though, it takes work, when you're 20, it's nothing, but past 30 you have to work for it.

1. Drink water (at least 2 liters a day, more if you're exercising)

2. Use Sunscreen
Reply:I recommend Mary Kay, it is a premier cosmetics line, meaning it is rated equal to or better to the department store lines. It also has many ingredients that can only be found in Mary Kay. There is a night solution from Mary Kay that has peptides in it (ask me if you need a definition) these peptides are similar to the ones found in the best department store line, but better. Because Mary Kay is the number one selling cosmetic line they have a higher demand and are actually able to buy from the same French company as the other brand, but because they buy in such quantities they get a special and better formula.

Better, the prices of Mary Kay are lower because they do not pay the department store overhead. It is a home based business. Because of this, consultants are also able to make a higher commission than any other home based cosmetics line. Also, by specializing in skin care and a few other select products your consultants are experts in the entire line and usually carry everything in stock so you don’t have to wait for delivery. Mary Kay does not carry shirts, underwear, toys…they only carry what is tried and proven so that they can bring you the very best.

Your consultant can let you sample the product, and any product, and in the event there is a purchase that you were unhappy about, will take it back and honor the 100% guarantee. There is in fact something for everyone within the Mary Kay line. There are the staple moisturizers and cleansers but there are also specific ones for specific needs that your consultant can tell you more about. There are actually 7 types on foundation in all different shades and so there is something depending on your skin type and your preference.

For anti-aging, I recommend the Miracle Set, it is a premium collection of age-fighting products that work together beautifully. The set utilizes the latest in skin care science to bring you the younger-looking skin you want with fewer lines and wrinkles, improved firmness, and more even skin tone

Try Using a fade cream like Palmers fade cream or a bleaching cream that has hydroquinone in it. Bleach and fade creams can be found at your local drug store.

Has anyone used Hopes Relief cream for skin conditions??

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has tried or uses a product called Hopes Relief cream - generally used for eczma and psorisis (sp?). Any reviews on its effectiveness would be great and also an approximate price - Thanks : )

Has anyone used Hopes Relief cream for skin conditions??
The best treatment in the elimination of acne is to clean the skin by some medicated cleansers.

A cleanser removes the sweat, make-up, accumulated oil and dirt on the surface of the skin.

These cleansers makes easy for the topical acne treatments to absorb in the skin and too much use of these cleansers can result into irritated dry skin. So, these acne cleansers should be applied only once and twice daily.

Vigorous washing and scrubbing the skin can make the acne worse.

Cats: does applying hemorrhoid cream to skin stimulate hair regrowth?

Cat losing hair on stomach. Also has lost hair around neck from collar use; will not grow back in. Someone told me hemorrhoid cream will stimulate re-growth but I'm skeptical and worried if he ingests it.

Cats: does applying hemorrhoid cream to skin stimulate hair regrowth?
Hi there...generally, the hair growth will return on it's own over a long period of time. Hemorrhoid cream is toxic to cats and when they groom themselves they will ingest this.
Reply:I would definitely NOT do that. Your cat WILL ingest it because he will lick it and try to get it all off. That is the weirdest thing that I've ever heard.

On a side note, I've never heard anything about that being a side effect from using the cream where it is intended to be used. That would just be gross and I doubt anyone would use it for hemorrhoids if growing hair there was the end result.
Reply:I certainly would NOT use that cream, until I checked w/vet, and told him what the ingredients were. SO MANY products that are made for humans are toxic to (will kill) cats! So, why take the chance? The reason your cat is losing the hair is probably some kind of stress. When stressed, cats will LICK their hair off in spots, til that area is bald. As for the hair loss from the collar, I have 3 cats who have no hair there, for the same reason. But, it doesn't hurt anything, and gradually the other hair will cover the area, where it's hardly noticable. So, I wouldn't worry about the hair loss, and I sure wouldn't put hemorroid cream on him. If he licks his skin til it's raw, it IS ok to put Neosporin on it....that won't hurt him. Good luck, hope this helps.
Reply:DO NOT USE THIS CREAM ON YOUR CAT!!!!!!!!!

Plerase check with your vet as there may be a medical reason why this is happening or it may be nothing to worry about.

But do not use human medicines on your cat. Also the very idea sounds ridiculous!!
Reply:Toxic. I believe it also states on the side of the box that even humans can't take it 'internally'. That says volumes.
