i am 17 years, does anyone know a good lotion/cream for colored skin that will lighten dark spots very well, knees, and even skin tone, that will my skin glow and be smooth and soft, apart from cocoa butter. I am a caramel color by the way
A good cream for a black girl that will make my skin glow?
check out neutrogena. it dosnt have to be specifically for black skin, since its still the same skin as any.
i would have said coco butter, but im a guy so, i have no clue anyway
Reply:confidence - it is probably the best one (100% fairness)
Reply:There are several items to pick from...for your face, try castor oil, it will be thick of course but put it on approx. 1-2 hrs.if possible before you go to bed. Then gently wipe off excess with a damp soft washcloth in warm water...you will see the diff. over night. Shea butter(comes in bar and lotion) is great for over all your body(it will decrease gradually all the dark spots and evens out your natural skin tone). Did you know that if you take 500mg.or 1000 mg. of fish oil(sold in gel caps in vit.section of store by the vitamins), buy the generic brand...I get the economy size which has 300 caps for $7.97 at Wal-marts, that by taking 1 cap 3 X's daily will greatly improve your overall complexion and your body will feel softer and seems to work well for me. I take it for my dry eyes and read that it helps with many other things too. I also use vaseline on the bridge of my nose and my eyebrows and eyelashes and it helps with dryness if you need that. It makes your eyelashes grow twice as long and by putting it on your eyebrows it keeps the shape better and I don't need to pluck them as often. My putting on the castor oil at night, this also helps your lips from drying or cracking and your lips will look fuller. Hope one or all of these work for you!
Reply:Hi. I am goimg to guess that you are of mixed race or light skinned from your description. DO NOT TRY ANY SKIN LIGHTENERS OR BLEACHES.!!! They are the worst thing you could try. Mixed or light brown skin can be prone to sensitivity or blotchiness, especially if you work somewhere with air condiotioning. I would recommend a lanolin free face wash followed by, depending on skin condition an facial scrub creme 3 times a week and a perfume and lanolin free moisturiserevery day and night. Simple do a good range of face washes but depending on your skin the moisturiser may not provide enough moisture for your skin.
The process is mainly trial and error depending on your skin type and main enviroment.
Some of the best are:
Aqueous (spelling) cream from any phamarcy. (Boots do one for around £3.00 for a half ltre tub). This is used on burns victims and containd no harsh chemicals. You need to experiment with the amount used for you
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour - great for under make-up and doubles as eyebrow control, lipshine etc. (very glossy at first but proper application can make you look great.
Simple face moisturiser - no harsh chemicals but can be a bit weak if working in an air-conditioning / pollution heavy area.
Alcohol and not removing make up at night can also result in a blotchy, dry skin appearance.
To lighten areas on the knees and elbows I would suggest a good sugar or salt scrub but only in these areas.
