I am using a strong Retinol cream and my skin is flaking a bit...should I exfoliate the dead cells?

My skin is adjusting to a retinol cream I am using to get rid of eye bags and a few fine lines....when I use it my skin flakes..should I use a scrub the next day to buff away dead cells or would it be better to use a gentle face massage brush??

I had this problem as a teenager, and I used a steamed washcloth to soften my face. I use really hot water, get the facecloth wet, and set it over my entire face for about 3-5 minutes. Then, I use the facecloth which is already a great exfoliator because of the texture, and I gently scrub my face.

Then, follow up with a good moisturizer because the Retinol is very strong. I recommend Oil of Olay for sensative skin-- it doen't contain any harmful ingrediants that will harm your face even worse.

If all else fails, Proactive (when used as directed and faithfully) works wonders!
Reply:use some baby lotion or jergins lotion or use clean and clear..........if u want to know anymore msg me at ashleyangelicdevil@yahoo.com
Reply:Be as gentle as possible, Retinol products make your skin super sensitive. I would just use a wash cloth soaked in warm water to buff off the flakes.
Reply:stay away from the sun, maybe use the retinol every other day too, gentle exfoliating would be good
